Dillard Kirby Henderson

Dillard Kirby Henderson, 77, of Morganton passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021.  Born in Troy, AL on May 26, 1944, he was the son of the late John Dillard Henderson and Miriam Kirby Henderson.  Dillard was a member of the Baha’i faith.  He worked as a social worker for 40 years, helped many people, and was loved by everyone.  He volunteered at Burke United Christian Ministries for many years.

Dillard is survived by his sons, Shane Patrick Henderson (Melissa) and Stephen Blake Henderson; grandson, Nathan Patrick Henderson; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Alexis Henderson; and great-grandchildren, Phebee Jane Wasburn and Macy-Kait Ryann Henderson.

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Sunday, August 22, 2021 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Stacey Stowe and fellow Baha’I, Sherry, officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery
