Diane Kraft Causby

Diane Kraft Causby, 62, of Newland St., Morganton, NC died Monday, April 2, 2007 at her residence following a period of declining health. She was born September 19, 1944 in Savannah, GA, and was a daughter of the late Morton and Louise Allman Kraft. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Noah Morris Kraft and Samuel Kraft; an aunt, Isa Dunn, a cousin, J. L. Dunn; and Magdalene Causby. Diane was a dedicated member of North Morganton United Methodist Church, and a former member of the First Baptist Church. She was a devout Christian who enjoying assisting other people and always put their needs over her own.

Diane is survived by a son, Todd Edward Causby and wife, Vicki, of Morganton; a sister, Karen Samulak of Lakeland, FL; a niece, Michelle Samulak of Lakeland; Donald and Margaret Causby, Paul Edward Causby, and Vickie Causby, all of Wilmington, NC; cousins, Bill and Margaret Allman of Morganton, Martha and John Morrison and Pat and George Druery, all of Charlotte, NC; and an aunt, Flossie Griffin of Morganton.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 5, 2007 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Thomas A. Bland, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday one hour before the service at the funeral home.
