Deborah Lynette Hendrick, 64 of Hickory, NC, passed away Saturday, July 22, 2023.
Born on October 4, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Sterling Walker and Pearlie Thomas.
Deborah was a member of Burkemont Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved to thrift shop.
Deborah is survived by her sons, Gavin Smith and James Bristol; sister, Carol McMahan; grandchildren, James “Gannon” Bristol, Serinity Bristol, “Z” Zane Daniell Bristol, Zyanne Dane Bristol, Michael Landon Langley, Michael Peyton Smith, Kelynn Smith, Madison Hope Smith; and nephew, Cody McMahan.
In addition to her parents, Deborah is preceded in death by her brother, Michael Walker.
A celebration of Deborah’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Burkemont Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Luke Lane officiating. The family will greet friends in the church following the service.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

I will truly miss Debbie. She was a wonderful Christian, mother and wife. We were married for many years and throughly enjoyed each other's company. She also had a 2 wonderful sons, Daniel and Gavin and many grandchildren including 5 month old Madison. Please keep her family in your prayers.
Miss Deb was a wonderful person. I loved taking care of her. She will be missed dearly.
