Deborah “Debbie” Loftis, 57, of Morganton, NC, died Monday, April 1, 2024.

Born in Burke County, NC on June 26, 1966, she was the daughter of the late Ray Dant Singleton and Edith Barrier Singleton.

Debbie enjoyed the outdoors, going to the lake, flowers, reading, and dancing at the Moose Lodge. She loved her family very much.

Debbie is survived by her long-time companion, Wayne Poteat; children, Kenneth and Crystal Loftis; siblings, Johnny Ollis (Tootsie), Marcella Crawford, Joe Ollis (Martha), Rebecca Smith (Jimmy), Cindy Singleton, David Singleton (Vennie), and Ricky Singleton (Deanna); and her loving dog, Daisy.

In addition to her parents, Debbie was preceded in death by three brothers, Cecil Ollis, Danny Singleton, and Paul Ollis.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Sossoman Funeral Home. A celebration of Debbie’s life will follow at 6 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Hello I am Debbie's niece Bridget and I just love her so much and she was my best friend when I was younger she took me shopping and to swim she is with Jesus now no more suffering and I'll see you one day again Debbie forever with the Lord Jesus Christ and always and to all my whole family not just close I love you all also
