Davy Goodman, 50, of Connelly Springs, NC went to his Heavenly Home on Thursday, February 12, 2026. He was born on May 17, 1975 in Burke County to the late Grady Goodman and Patsy Huffman Gibson.
Davy was raised in the Baptist faith and attended Walker’s Chapel Baptist Church. He worked at O’Mara Textiles and worked as a handyman. Davy was loved by all and was a family-oriented person who would help anyone who needed a hand. He also loved his dog, Lady.
Davy is survived by his sisters, Lori Goodman (Kyle) and Kimberly Richards (James); nieces and nephews, Kendra Whaley (Michael); Meagan Whaley (Isaac); James Whaley III (Mariah); Logan Childers, Chezley Childers; great-nieces and great-nephews, Avery, Colton, Jaxson, Grace, Brian and Miles; girlfriend, Heidi Epley; stepchildren, Legacy and Tripp Epley; longtime friend, Tammy Pittman, and step-son, Kaleb Wright.
The family will receive friends from 2pm-3pm Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Sossoman Funeral Home. A graveside service will begin at 4pm at Walker’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Danny McNeilly officiating.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
