Davy Goodman, 50, of Connelly Springs, NC went to his Heavenly Home on Thursday, February 12, 2026. He was born on May 17, 1975 in Burke County to the late Grady Goodman and Patsy Huffman Gibson.
Davy was raised in the Baptist faith. He worked at O’Mara Textiles and worked as a handyman. Davy was loved by all and was a family-oriented person who would help anyone who needed a hand. He also loved his dog, Lady.
Davy is survived by his sisters, Lori Goodman (Kyle) and Kimberly Richards (James); nieces and nephews, Kendra Whaley (Michael); Meagan Whaley (Isaac); James Whaley III (Mariah); Logan Childers, Chezley Childers; great-nieces and great-nephews, Avery, Colton, Jaxson, Grace, Brian and Miles; girlfriend, Heidi Epley; stepchildren, Legacy and Tripp Epley; longtime friend, Tammy Pittman, and step-son, Kaleb Wright.
The family will receive friends from 2pm-3pm Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Sossoman Funeral Home. A graveside service will begin at 4pm at Walker’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Danny McNeilly officiating.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

My Heart is broken , Its still so unreal . For more then 15 years you have been a important part of my life a TRUE , GENIUNE Friend which is so hard to find in this world . You impacked my life more then you will ever know someone i could always go to for advice an know that you always had my best intrust at heart . You excepted me an believed in me when i couldnt believe in myself , You never cared what anyone thought about you being my friend an there was never a time i needed you that you wasnt there , i know that you will be missed by many an you not being here will chnage my life an Tiffineys along with Tammys forever . I have comfront in knowning that you joined your mother father an many friends that we lost that i know you loved so i hope to meet you there !
I didnt get to say good bye I heard u were sick but I didn't realize just how sick. I will keep ur memory in my heart. You were one of the good ones.
So sorry for ya loss praying for his family and friends. Left this world way to soon ,but God had different plans . Now he is rejoicing with his mama and other family members .

I have known Davy for years we have had some good times together.Davy was always good to my kids Dylan and Dawson who loved him very much.We are going to miss him so much.My prayers are with the family.Until we meet again Davy I will always love you and going to miss you alot.
