David Tallent, 63, of Morganton, NC, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2025.
Born in Burke County, NC on January 2, 1962, he was the son of the late Charles Downs Tallent and Rachel Elizabeth Watson Tallent.
David was a former member of Mtn. View #2 Baptist Church. He was happiest when he was on a tractor. He was a loving son, brother, and uncles, and he was willing to help anyone in need.
Those left to cherish his memory include his brothers, Scott Tallent and Dennis Tallent (Gail); nephew, Glenn MacElrath (Dana); and nieces, Jessica Tallent, Hilda Pervis, and Megan Pervis.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his sister, Renee Pervis; nephew, Charles D. Tallent; and sister-in-law, Renee Tallent.
The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m., Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Mtn. View #2 Baptist Church. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. in the church with Rev. Larry Combs, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
