David Gurley, 58 of Morganton, NC went to his Heavenly Home, Saturday, May 24, 2025. Born on December 21, 1966, he was the son of the late Jerome and Betty Gurley. David worked at JIRDC in the lakeside area. He loved to hunt and be outdoors. David was a die-hard Denver Bronco fan. He loved his wife, niece and nephews dearly. David also loved the Lord. David is survived by his wife, Adela Gurley; brothers-in-law. Oscar Espino (Amy), Brian Lagos; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Adela Blandino and Pablo Lagos; niece and nephews, Samuel Akers, Catherine Espino, Maximus Espino; and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Toney; sister, Nelle Harwood. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff, doctors and nurses at Amorem Hospice, UNC Health Blue Ridge, and Davids and Adelas family and friends for their support. Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements. Visitation N/A Service N/A Committal N/A

I miss uncle David I pray you be at peace Adela I really feel that David is now in heaven ,I remember when me and Dave d and my brother teddy used to play football in the front yard and David was the quarterback,we had so much fun,we laughed and cried togeather .when we got football injuries, it was fun going to Bible college with David at winklers grove Baptist church for a little while.
