Danny Len Houston, 67, of Morganton, NC passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017. He was born June 20, 1950 in Iredell County, NC and was the son of the late Leonard Houston and Erma Howard Houston. Danny was one of God’s angels here on earth and now has gone to Heaven to be an angel with his mon, dad and brother.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Freddie T. Houston.
Danny is survived by sisters, Vickie Houston and Sandy Wingo (Butch); nieces, Gina Houston and Anna Holloway (Ken); nephews, Shane Houston (Robin Moore) and Robbie Ramsay (Jilda); aunt, Kay Smith; four great nieces and two great nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 19, 2017 at the Covenant Center Chapel at J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center. Funeral service will follow in the Chapel of the Covenant Center at 11:00 a.m. with Chaplain Carol Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Lakeview Memory Gardens in York, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center, 300 Enola Road, Morganton, NC 28655.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
