Danette “Dee” Keeling

Danette “Dee” Keeling, 61, of Morganton passed away Thursday, April 11, 2019.  Born in Honolulu, HI on May 20, 1957, she was the daughter of Kimiko Apo and the late Edward Kaleialoha Apo, Sr.  Danette was a faithful friend who enjoyed cooking and watching TV.

A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Mrs. Keeling is survived by her son, Danny Keeling (Vanessa); granddaughters, Coty Houser and Karilyn Keeling; great-granddaughter, Adalyn Houser; her mother; and brothers, Edward Apo, Jr. and Clayton Apo.

In addition to her father, Danette was preceded in death by a brother, Calvin Apo.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at Burkemont Baptist Church.  A celebration of Danette’s life will follow at 1 p.m. in the church with Rev. Eddy Bunton officiating.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
