Cynthia “Cindy” Storie

Cynthia “Cindy” Storie, 61, of Morganton, NC passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 1, 2014 due to an automobile accident. Born in Buncombe County, NC on January 7, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Claude Marlowe and Pearl Hoyle Pritchard. She received an Associate’s Degree in Occupation Technologies from Western Piedmont Community College. Cindy worked as an executive secretary for Fulenwider Enterprises for over 25 years.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Mrs. Storie is survived by her husband, Dayton Storie of the home; a daughter, Kimberly Shores and her fiancé, Todd Propst, of Morganton; grandchildren, Abigale Stamey and Hannah Shores; a brother, Michael Marlowe; and an aunt, Dorothy Hoyle of Old Fort, NC.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 6, 2014 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center with Dr. Clifton Black and Mr. Jerry Propst officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
