Craig S. Pearson

Craig S. Pearson, 52, of Morganton, NC went to be with his Lord on Sunday, September 28, 2014. Born September 20, 1962 in Burke County, NC, he was a son of the late Clarence “Bud” Pearson and Frieda “Laverne” Clark Arrowood. He attended Westview Baptist Church as a youth. Craig worked as a drywaller in construction, enjoyed raising chickens, and was an avid NASCAR fan.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Suzanne Pearson of the home; sisters, Kathy Waters of Claremont, NC, Debra Ramsey of Marion, NC, and Tammy Lail of Morganton; nephews, Billy Waters, Lawrence Causby, Doug Causby, Robert Pearson, and Jacob Lail; and numerous great-nieces and nephew.
In addition to his parents, Craig was preceded in death by a brother, Buster Pearson; and a nephew, Kevin Waters.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 2, 2014 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center with Rev. Buren Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Denton’s Chapel United Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 1721 Enon Rd., Valdese, NC 28690.
