Corine Self Willis, 87, Burlington, NC died Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at The Village of Brookwood following an extended illness. She was born November 1, 1918 in Lincoln Co., NC, and was the daughter of the late Erastus Garland Self and Elizabeth Grindstaff Self. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Edward Willis; a son, Gene Osborne Willis; and a brother, Charles Self. Corine was a member of St. Peters United Methodist Church in Lawndale, NC.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Karen Willis of Burlington; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Lou Shores of Greensboro, NC; a grandchild; two step-grandchildren; and a brother, Harold Self of Redondo Beach, CA.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, May 13, 2006 at St. Peters United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Robert Parsons officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Peters United Methodist Church, 108 Saint Peters Church Road, Lawndale, NC 28090. Sossoman Funeral Home is assisting the family.
