Connie Sue Garland

Connie Sue Garland, 64, of Granite Falls, NC, died Friday, October 15, 2021.  Born in Hudson County, MI on May 23, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Russell Slusser and Donna Gene Moran Gibbs.  Connie was a member of Morganton Seventh-Day Adventist Church and retired from Leviton with over 25 years of service.

Connie is survived by her daughters, Gina Slusser (fiancé, Scott Snyder) and Desi Pernitzke; son-from-another-mother, Tim Curtis; grandchildren, Ritchard Hickman, Joshuwa Shelton, and Donna Shelton (Shane); great-grandson, Sterling Shelton; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m., Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Sossoman Funeral Home.  The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the Sossoman Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Bietz officiating.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
