Connie B. Morris

Connie B. Morris, 74, went to be with her Lord on June 1, 2010. She was born in Cleveland County on July 18, 1935 and was a daughter of Edley and Lula Hoyle Brackett. Mrs. Morris was a member of New Home United Methodist Church and was a retired employee of Western Carolina Center Education Department.Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Robert L. Morris, Jr.; son, Robert E. Morris and his wife, Rachel; daughter, Pam Mauney and her husband, Van Mauney; grandsons, Jacob and Caleb Mauney, and Robbie Morris; and great-grandchildren, Marlie Jane Mauney and Elijah Morris.The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 4, 2010 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with the Reverends Steve Beaty and Chris Emory officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. The burial will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday at New Home United Methodist Church Cemetery, Casar, NC. Flowers will be appreciated or memorial contributions may be made to New Home United Methodist Church Building Fund, 422 Moriah School Rd., Casar, NC 28020 or to a charity of one’s choice.
