Conley E. Butler

Conley E. Butler, 65, of Old NC Hwy 18 in Morganton died Monday, December 22, 2008 at his residence. He was born October 28, 1943 in Burke County, and was a son of the late Roy Butler and Florence Watts Butler. Conley was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, and a retired employee of Henredon Furniture.He is survived by brothers, J. P. Butler, Glen Butler, Leonard Butler, and Garland Butler, sisters, Lou Ellen Harmon and husband, Jimmy, Eva Huffman, and Sadie Powell, all of Morganton; and a number of nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Price and Rev. Jimmy Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the church. Sossoman Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
