Clarence Richard “Bud” Husband, 89, of Grace Ridge, Morganton, NC, died Saturday, July 2, 2016. He was born on September 12, 1926 in Wilkes-Barre, PA to the late Clarence Stretton Husband and Bertha Katherine Bierbach Husband. Mr. Husband was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII who served his time in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church. Clarence loved to camp, travel, fish, and garden.
Mr. Husband is survived by daughters, Jane H. Mueller and husband, Michael of Indian Land, SC and Susan H. Hertzler and husband, Keith of Hickory, NC and son, C. Richard Husband, Jr. and wife, Sara of Haymarket, VA. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Clarence was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-three years, Edith Ruth Sanders Husband and brother, Ronald W. Husband.
There will be a military inurnment at Salisbury National Cemetery, Friday, July 15, 2016 at 2 p.m.
