Clarcia Johnson Fletcher, 93 of Morganton, NC passed away, Friday, October 10, 2025. Born on July 25, 1932 in Burke County, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Connie Johnson. Clarcia was a member of the First Baptist Church Deaf Mission and was very active as a trustee. She was very faithful to God and her husband, Albert. Clarcia loved to cook and bake and loved to sing and listen to music. She was an identical twin to her sister, Clara. She was a very witty and spunky person.

Clarcia is survived by her children, Beverly Woodel (Albert), Herman Fletcher (Nancy), and Danny Fletcher (Karen); grandchildren, Ally and Fletcher (Erika); step-grandchildren, Monica (Francis) and Martin; step great-grandchildren, Declan and Colin; brother, Ralph Johnson; sister, Brenda McKinney; and a number of extended family.

In addition to her parents, Clarcia was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Fletcher; sisters, Lula Hudson and Clara Williams; brother, Gilbert Johnson.

A memorial service will be at 11am, Saturday, November 1, 2025 at the First Baptist Church Chapel on Saturday, November 1, 2025 with Pastor Matt Sparling officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church or to Deaf and Blind Pathways Foundation, PO Box 1397, Morganton, NC 28680.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
