Chris Todd Clark, 59, of Morganton, NC, passed away unexpectedly and went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, February 14, 2023.

Born in Burke County, NC on September 18, 1963, he was the son of the late Clara Cassandra Clark. Chris was a member of Victory Chapel Baptist Church. He previously worked at Henredon Furniture and worked for the city of Morganton.

A loving husband and father, Chris is survived by his wife of 38 years, Ramona King Clark; son, Seth Clark (Steffie Beard); aunts, Lila Moses and Beatrice Kayga (Kenneth); uncle, Bob Clark; nephew, Joshua; niece, Leah; sister-in-law, Vanessa Williamson (Tony); and numerous cousins and extended family.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home. Burial will follow in Victory Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

I'm sorry for your loss. I just heard the news today. I met Chris at the trap range when I showed up a few minutes before closing one day and he took the time to show me how to assemble my new shotgun and let me try it a few times. I believe if he had not been so nice and patient, I would not be into the sport that I love. I learned a lot from Chris. I hope his wife and son can be comforted by many happy memories in the days ahead.
