Charlotte M. Simasek, 82, of Morganton, NC passed away May 1, 2015. Born in Providence, RI on February 22, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Marie Westnedge. At the age of 17, Charlotte, a high school graduate was in charge of payroll for a costume jewelry firm. After raising a family of boys, she returned to work for the U.S. Treasury Department in Washington, D.C. and later with A.I.D., Agriculture Department.
Mrs. Simasek is survived by her husband of 64 years, Joe Simasek of the home; son, Mike Simasek and his wife, Noelle, of Conroe, TX, Jon Simasek and his wife, Rachael, of Herndon, VA, and Jay Sims of Arlington, VA; two grandchildren; and two brothers, Edward and John Westnedge.
No services are planned at this time.
