Charles J. Register, Jr.

Charles J. Register, Jr., 76, of Connelly Springs, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Tuesday, April 6, 2021. Born on May 29, 1944, he was the son of the late Lillian Wilson Register Weatherington and Charles Jenkins Register Sr. Charles was a member of Walker’s Chapel Baptist Church. He loved his Lord and Savior, his church, and loved his family. Charles also enjoyed racing, football, and singing karaoke.

Charles is survived by his wife, Shelly Register; children, Jackie Ray Register, Johnny Jay Register, Anita Kay Moses; step-sons, Steve Huffman (Jennifer), Scottie Davis; grandchildren, Amber Cook (Tyler), Sarah Register, Jonathan Ray Register, Christopher Moses, Joshua Moses; step-grandchildren, Scottie Lee Davis, Brianna Davis, Travis Davis, Ryan Huffman; 4 great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; brother, Chuck Register (Jessica); k-9 companions, Angel, Smokey, Tinkerbell.

In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his sister, Sonja Kay Smith.

The family will receive friends from 1pm until 2pm, Monday, April 12, 2021 at Walker’s Chapel Baptist Church. The funeral service will be held at 2pm, in the church with the Rev. Danny McNeily officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
