Charles Howard "Chuck" Boone, affectionately known as "Music Man", 68, of Propst Rd., Morganton, NC died Friday, April 20, 2007 at his residence. Born in Yancey County, NC on July 28, 1938, he was the son of Zenas J. Boone and the late Grace Curtis Duvall.
Chuck is survived by his sons, Tony Boone of Fayetteville, NC, Shannon Boone of Valdese, NC, Charles "T.J." Boone and Brendon Boone, both of Morganton; a daughter, Karen Boone of Albemarle, NC; his father, Zenas Boone and his step-mother, Irene Boone both of Los Alamos, NM; a brother, Steve Grady of Hickory, NC; a sister, Mary Ruth Heckrotte of Guatemala; and four grandchildren.
A cryptside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at Burke Memorial Park Mausoleum with Rev. Richard Ellington officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Sossoman Funeral Home.
