Catherine Nunley Grady, 79, of Nebo, NC passed away peacefully on Friday, April 13, 2018 after years of declining health. Born in Burke County, NC on August 15, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Earl Smith Arney and Nannie Patton Arney. Catherine was active in the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and had a green thumb. She lived up to her red hair which was “Loreal Copper Penny.”
Mrs. Grady is survived by her daughters, Janet Flynn, Billie Grady, and Sarah Harrison, all of Morganton; grandsons, Elijah and Gabriel Flynn; granddaughter, Alayna Isbel; and a sister, Sarah Smith.
In addition to her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by her first husband, Dewey Nunley; second husband, Pep Mull; third husband, Bill Grady; son, Allen Nunley; 3 brothers, and 1 sister.
No services are planned for Mrs. Grady at this time.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
