Carolyn Walters, 80, of Morganton, NC, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2024.

Born in Burke County, NC on May 21, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Calvin Waters, Jr. and Mary Alice Causby Walters.

Carolyn was a member of Denton’s Chapel Church and enjoyed watching television and eating at Pat’s Snack Bar. She was a loving sister.

Carolyn is survived by her sister, Donna Walters Pearson (Brian); nieces, Barbara Hertel (Darryl), Danette Setzer (Jason), and Debrah Patterson; cousin, Joyce Carswell (Bob); and numerous extended family.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by two brothers, Carol Wayne Walters and Allen Ray Walters.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m., Monday, February 12, 2024 at Denton’s Chapel Church. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. in the church with Rev. Jimmy Queen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family would like to praise and thank the staff of Grace Heights for their wonderful care and treating Carolyn like family.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
