Carolyn Ruth “Toodie” Mull, 75, of Connelly Springs, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 7, 2026.
Born in Caldwell County, NC on August 16, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Conley Joshua Mull and Rosalie Crump Mull.
Carolyn faced physical challenges her entire life due to having polio as a child. She enjoyed listening to music, watching television, and good food. When able, she also enjoyed talking on her CB radio, especially her coffee break meetings. Her handle was Calico Kitten. Carolyn had a wonderful sense of humor and was a loving aunt and sister.
Those left to cherish her memory include her nieces, Karen Wilson (Gene) and Gina Pritchard; nephew, Curtis Bryan Mull; great-nieces and nephews, Lucas Wilson and family, Chelsea Brackett and family, and Daniel Pritchard; and her sister-in-law, Audrey Mull.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her sister, Cherolyn Whisenant; brother, Conley Curtis Mull, Jr.; and several aunts and uncles.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m., Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at Antioch Baptist Church. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. in the church with Rev. Danny Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of College Pines for the wonderful care they took of Carolyn.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

I’m so sad to hear about Ms Carolyn!! I met her years ago when my mom was in short-term rehab at college Pines! Miss Carolyn always gave me a smile and a big hug! She was one of the sweetest, most caring people I have ever met! She always asked to see pictures of my animals! She was a bright light and a sweet presence that will definitely be missed!
We will miss Carolyn's great upbeat and kind disposition. She made everyone feel loved. Goodbye sweet and kind friend.
