Carolyn Ann Bradshaw Childres, 81, of Drexel, NC passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2018. Born March 4, 1937 in Burke County, she was a daughter of the late Junius Sumner Bradshaw, Jr. and Virginia Arleen Bower Bradshaw. Mrs. Childres was a member of Drexel First Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry William Brantley Childres; and infant twin brother, Darrell Bradshaw.
Those left to cherish her memory include daughter, Connie Brendle (Kevin); son, Brian Childres (Cheryl); grandson, Travis Ledford (Stacey), and God-Grandson, Wesley Watts; great-grandson, Hank Ledford; sister, Sharon Lamm (Curt) of Palm Harbor, FL; and her beloved cats, Garfield, Sambo, and Miracle
The family will receive friends from 2 – 3 p.m., Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Drexel First Baptist Church. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m., at Drexel First Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Duncan officiating. Burial will follow at Drexel Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to Drexel First Baptist Church or Cats Cradle.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
