Carol Aldridge Hinson, 78, of Hickory, NC, formerly Pensacola, FL, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 30, 2025.
Born in Stanly County, NC on June 10, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Martin Luther Aldridge and Pauline Ellen Reynolds Aldridge. Carol had been a member of Pensacola First Baptist Church and retired as accountant for the Florida government. She was an excellent cook and a very active lady who enjoyed ballroom dancing. Carol volunteered at Catawba Valley Medical Center.
She is survived by her brother, Wesley Aldridge; several beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and her cat, Boo.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Lee Hinson; brother, Tommy Aldridge; and a sister, Sue Fox.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 5:30 p.m., Thursday, September 4, 2025 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 5:30 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Marty Bess officiating.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
