Calvin Wayne Sprouse, 64, of Morganton, NC, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 20, 2026.
Born in Burke County, NC on May 15, 1962, he was the son of Jeanette Swink Epley and the late Frankl Donald Sprouse.
Calvin was a devoted son, father, and brother. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Harley Davidson motorcycles. Calvin was a retired steel worker and enjoyed taking trips to the mountains.
In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Alexa Wagoner; sister, Reba Sprouse Bashandi; nephew, Cole Sprouse; grandnephew, Owen Sprouse; uncle, Paul Swink; and aunt, Ruth Lovelace.
The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m., Friday, August 28, 2026 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Buddy Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Conley Road Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
