Brian Alvin Poteet

Brian Alvin Poteet, 54, died Saturday, August 4, 2012 at his home. He was born in Burke County on September 7, 1957 and was a dutiful son and loving caregiver to his mother, Phyllis Irene Poteat with whom he made his lifelong home. Brian was preceded in death by his father, Fred Jethro Poteet, Jr. and by a brother, Lendon Poteet.Surviving in addition to his mother are brothers, Melvin Poteet of Greensboro, NC and Andrew Poteet and wife, Judy, of Morganton; sisters, Trudy Poteet McCrary and husband, Bruce, and Wendy Poteet Crawley, all of Morganton; and a number of nieces and nephews.The graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 10, 2012 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev.
