Brenda Joyce Willis, 76, of Morganton, NC, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2026.
Born in Spruce Pine, NC on December 23, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Frank Hensley and Irene Jamerson Hensley.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Joseph Marvin Willis, Jr.; daughter, Cathy Ann Willis; grandchildren, Johnathon Poteat, Jerica Poteat, and Joseph Emmerson; great-grandchildren, Kayble and Keragen Emmerson; sisters, Freda Price, Maxine Lane, and Barbara Henlsey; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by two brothers, Danny Burl Hensley and Howard Arvil Robinson.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m., Friday, May 8, 2026 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Way of the Cross Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Ellington officiating. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Park.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
