Brenda Joyce Garrison, 85, of Morganton, NC passed away on September 11, 2025.
She was born on December 5, 1939 to the late Florence Lapham. She retired from J Iverson Riddle Developmental Center. She loved animals and enjoyed cooking in her later years. Brenda loved her family and friends, and her friends became her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hardie Garrison; three brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law, great-aunt Georgie and mother of her granddaughters, Leslie Freeman.
She is survived by a son, Bryan Garrison and wife, Bheng; grandchildren, Emily, Rachel, Bryson Garrison, and Shaylene Santelices; great-grandchildren, Riley Self and Zy’ila Goode; and numerous extended family.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:30 p.m., Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Sossoman Funeral Home.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
