Bonnie “Sue” Williams, 94, of Morganton died Wednesday, November 28, 2018.  Born in McDowell County, NC on June 12, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Doc Franklin Hipps and Mamie Frances Taylor Hipps.  Sue was a member of Mtn. View #2 Baptist Church and retired from the NC School for the Deaf.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her daughters, Judy Crawley (James) and Sandra Browning (Marty), both of Morganton; grandchildren, Tracy Crawley (Laura), Belinda Helms (Scott), Darren Browning (Jenny), Bradley Browning (LaDonna), and Jonathan Browning (Greta); great-grandchildren; Wilson Crawley, Evan Crawley, Grant Helms, Brandon Helms, Jacob Browning, Alex Browning, Emily Browning, Madison Browning, Luke Browning, Caleb Browning, Aaron Browning, Sarah Browning, Morgan Cargill, and Evan Cargill; great-great-grandson, Ian Crawley; brother, Ray Hipps (Lola); sisters-in-law, Margie Hipps, Beulah Hipps, Betty Ballew, and Judy Williams.

In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Woodrow Williams; daughter, Linda Williams; and six siblings.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, November 30, 2018 at Sossoman Funeral Home.  The funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Mtn. View #2 Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
