Bobby Taylor

Bobby Taylor, 81, of Hudson, NC went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 21, 2021. Born in Caldwell County, NC on October 14, 1940, he was the son of the late Glenn E. Taylor, Sr. and Ida Mae Martin Taylor. Bobby was a member of Bible Missionary Baptist Church and a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War.  He retired from Caldwell Freight Lines after 44 years.

Bobby is survived by his daughter, Jane Crowe; brother, Dewey Taylor (Margie); and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Houck Taylor; brothers, Glenn, Jr., Melvin, Ervin, and Willie Taylor; and a sister, Maurine Younce.

The graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Bible Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Morganton with Rev. Ricky Watkins officiating.  Military honors will be provided by the Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
