Bobby Lee Edwards, 84, of Connelly Springs, NC, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2026.
Born in Erwin, TN on March 23, 1941, he was the son of the late Dan Edwards and Grace Tilson Edwards.
Bobby was a member of Smart’s Grove Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the US Navy and retired from Henredon after 40 years of service. Bobby enjoyed gardening, playing pool, and “front porch sittin.” He was a jack of all trades and was always messing with something, usually cars or furniture.
A loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Bobby is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara Robertson Edwards; grandson, Bryan Dyson; grandson-in-law, Dustin Farr; great-grandchildren, Santiago and Amelia Farr; sister, Linda Ledford and husband, Conway; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his daughter, Valerie Edwards; granddaughter, Alisha Farr; sister, Reba McCurry; and brothers, Earl, Dallas, Grady, and Doyle Edwards.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m., Sunday, March 8, 2026 at Smart’s Grove Baptist Church. The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. in the church with Pastor Patrick Mourglea officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors provided by the US Navy.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Smart’s Grove Baptist Church.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
