Bobby Earl "Bob" White

Bobby Earl White, 74, of Morganton, NC passed away on Friday, July 28, 2017.  Born on September 13, 1942 in Burke County, he was a son of the late Paul Earl White and Mary Lou Maloney White.

Bob was a veteran of the United States Air Force.  He was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church for more than 40 years where he served as former Sunday School Director and Teacher.  Bob loved his Lord and church.  He was an avid outdoors man and loved to hunt and fish with his family.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by sisters, Judy White Denton and Carolyn White Pritchard; brother, Richard Allen White; nephew, Bryan White; nieces, Carol Pritchard, Christy Pritchard, and Donna Buchanan.

Bob is survived by his wife of 54 years, Kay Spainhour White; son, Robert Edward White and wife, Becky Flannery White of Morganton; and granddaughter, Destiny Lynn White.  He is also survived by brothers, Rev. Paul White, Jr. and wife, Nancy of Bostic, NC, and John White and wife, Cathrine of Morganton; sister, Jean McCarthy and husband, Vernon of Glen Alpine; many nephews and nieces; and a special friend, Lorene Earwood.

The family will receive friends, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday, July 31, 2017 at Trinity Baptist Church.  The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Tim Hodge and Rev. Paul White, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Military honors will be provided by the US Air Force and Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with expenses.
