Bobby Clay Riddle, 82, of Morganton, NC, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2023.
Born in Burke County, NC on February 12, 1941, he was the son of the late Walter Vestal Riddle and Leola Marie Sims Riddle.
Bobby enjoyed boating, fishing, and animals, and he loved his family.
Mr. Riddle is survived by his wife of 61 years, Rosemary Riddle; brother, Rex Riddle; sister, Faye Franklin; sisters-in-law, Frances Huffman and Margaret Beck; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Riddle; and a sister, Argual Bowman.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at noon in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with Revs. Roger Beck and Keith Rose officiating. Music will be performed by Pastor Danny Carr. Burial will follow in Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Burke County Humane Society.
