Billy Vanhorn, 74, of Hwy 18 South, Connelly Springs, NC, died Wednesday, July 09, 2008 at the Burke Palliative Care Center in Valdese, NC following a period of declining health. Billy was born in Burke County, NC on January 5, 1934.Mr. Vanhorn is survived by a number of cousins.The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 12, 2008 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St. John’s Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends the funeral home thirty minutes prior to the service.
