Billie Jo Swink, 60, of Morganton, NC, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2025.

Born in Burke County, NC on August 10, 1964, she was the daughter of the late Bill Ray Swink and Peggy Sue Branch Swink.

Billie was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and she never met a stranger. She fought a long, tough battle, and even during her illness she was checking on others. Billie loved Dolly Parton and cooking, and she always made sure everyone around her was full.

Miss Swink is survived by her sons, Eddie Ray Swink (Nicole), Carl Wayne Sheets, Jr., and Joshua David Sheets; grandchildren, Kyleigh Rai Swink, Kirsten Dawn Swink, Kelssie Nicole Swink, and Tyler Austin Swink; great-grandchildren, Jacob Wayne Nelson, Bentley Andrew Alex Clark, and Easton Daniel Tyler Swink; niece, Jessica Lynn Swink; great-nieces, Myah, Juliana, and Zayveon Swink; and her closest friend, Douglas Martin.

In addition to her parents, Billie was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Ray Swink; sister, Ruby Irene Swink; and life-long partner, Carl Wayne “Burt” Sheets, Sr.

The graveside service will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, June 6, 2025 at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Sossoman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 2608, Morganton, NC 28680 to assist with funeral expenses.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
