Bill Woodward, 86, of Morganton, NC died Friday, April 15, 2016. Born in Burke County, NC on July 5, 1929, he was the son of the late Pearl Debuka Woodward and Amabel Gibson Woodward. Bill was a member of Grace Baptist Church and retired from Morganton Dye and Finishing.
Mr. Woodward is survived by his wife, Betty Joyce Rector Woodard of the home; a son, Larry Woodward and his wife, Marlene, of Morganton; and a granddaughter, Amanda Woodward.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a son, Garry Woodward; a brother, Odell; and four sisters, Margaret, Pauline, Violet, and Maggie.
The family will receive friends from 12 – 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Burke Memorial Park.
