Betty Sue Carver Hoglen, 88, passed away, Sunday, August 31, 2025. Born on January 30, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Mattie Carver. Betty was a devoted member of Mount Home Baptist Church. She loved to read, cook for others, canning, gardening, working crossword puzzles, singing, and crocheting. Her chocolate gravy and biscuits were loved by many. Betty enjoyed going on vacation with her family in her younger years. She loved her family dearly.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Barbara Woods, Pamela Sisk, Paula Crawley; grandchildren, Tonya Beam, Jason Hoglen, Brandon Crawley, Julie Sisk and their families; a number of great-grandchildren and extended family.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Fredrick Hoglen; son, Gerald Hoglen; and her 3 brothers.
The family will receive friends from 10am until 11am, Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Mount Home Baptist Church. A funeral will be held in the church at 11am with the Rev. Ethan Cromer officiating. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Park.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

I knew Mrs Betty at NCSD.and she brings her daughter, Pam to school everyday. All the little students/children hug and love her thanking her other staff for good food. Prayers had been sent on for your family. 🤟
