Betty Sigmon

Betty Sigmon, 87 of Morganton, NC, passed away, Friday, March 13, 2026. Born on May 12, 1938, she was the daughter of the late James and Fannie Henson. Betty was a member of Morganton Weslyan Church. She worked at Shadowline for over 45 years. Betty loved to bake and make cakes.

Betty is survived by several nieces and nephews and sister-in-law, Evelyn Henson.

In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Preston Sigmon; brothers, Jimmy, Walter, and Arthur Henson.

A graveside service will be held at 2pm, Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at Forest Hill Cemetery. Family will speak to friends following the graveside.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
