Betty Rutherford Lytle

Betty Rutherford Lytle, 91, of Morganton, died Tuesday, April 27, 2021.  Born in Nashville, TN on September 9, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Boyd Rutherford and Elizabeth Hardey Rutherford.  In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Lytle; daughter, Shelia Farrar; and brother, Jack Rutherford.

Betty retired from Broughton Hospital after many years of service.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Hallie Jackson; son, George Jackson; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will greet friends from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Sossoman Funeral Home.  The memorial service will follow at noon in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Diane Conley officiating.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
