Bernice Price Cassell, 86, of Grace Heights and formerly of Steakhouse Road in Morganton, NC died Thursday, March 9, 2006 at the nursing home following an extended illness. She was born March 14, 1919 in Cleveland County, NC, and was the daughter of the late Robert Ransom Price and Texie Wall Price. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Gary Clark; and a daughter, Linda Greene.
Bernice is survived by her daughter, Jewell Perkins Norman of Morganton; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 12, 2006 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Pastor Tim K. Sheridan officiating. Burial will follow in the Seventh Day Adventist Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday one before the service. At other times, the family will be at the residence of Jewell Norman, 210-3 Steakhouse Rd., Morganton.
