Bell Clark Dellinger, 77, of the Longtown Community went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 21, 2018.  Born in Burke County, NC on July 17, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Earl E. Clark and Nettie Hicks Clark.  Bell enjoyed attending church and was a member of both Oak Grove Baptist Church and Bridgewater Presbyterian Church.  She also enjoyed working at Grace Hospital, from where she retired with over 30 years of service.  She was a recipient of the Golden Grace Award.  She loved her family, especially her children and grandchildren.  Bell was a sweet lady who was always looking at the good in people.

Bell is survived by her husband of 59 years, Carl Dellinger of the home; daughter, Carla Lane and husband, Scott, of Morganton; son, Greg Dellinger and wife, Kelly, of Clemmons, NC; grandchildren, Brandon Smith and wife, Larissa, Kelly Hernandez and husband, Alex,  Sierra Dellinger, and Chloe Dellinger, and; brother, Ken Clark and wife, Millie, of Spruce Pine, NC; sisters, Hazel Dellinger and husband, Ray, of Nebo, NC and Lucille Barrier of Valdese, NC; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Bell was preceded in death by sisters, Bertie Bolick and Shirley Patton.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center.  The funeral will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, March 25, 2018 in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Daniel Hensley officiating.  Burial will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
