Barbara Sue Pritchard Small, 68, of Morganton died Friday, March 20, 2015. Born in Burke County, NC on March 1, 1947, she was the daughter of Margaret Whisenant Sigmon of Morganton and the late Eugene Pritchard. A devoted and loving mother and daughter, Barbara served as caregiver to her grandmother and her aunts: Willie and Alice.
In addition to her mother, Barbara is survived by her son, Jean Small of Morganton; and cousins, Ed Whisenant and his wife, Nancy, George Mull and his wife, Ella Mae, Mary Bollinger, and Yvonne Jordan, all of Morganton.
A private family visitation is planned.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family.
