Barbara Hollifield, 83, of Marion, NC died Tuesday, October 11, 2016. Born in Mitchell County, NC on October 27, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Arlion and Lillian Pitman Wyatt.
Barbara is survived by her son, Douglas Hollifield of Marion, and three sisters, Delores Pendley of Morganton, Linda Dellingham of Morganton, and Robin Greenman of Flint, MI.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hollifield was preceded in death by her husband, Max Hollifield, and a daughter, Sherrie Maxine Hollifield.
A private service will be held at later date.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
