Barbara Huffman, 80, of Morganton, NC, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023.
Born in Burke County, NC on May 24, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Douglas Fairbanks Dale and Kathleen Smith Dale.
Barbara enjoyed genealogy research and created genealogy books for her family. She was a fiercely independent, stubborn homebody who loved her cats and watching Fox News. She was a cynical woman and was always quick with comebacks.
Barbara is survived by her son, Douglas Huffman; sister, Debbie Dale (Edward); nephews, Paul Dale (Shelby) and Jarrod Dale (Ladonna); great-nieces, Catherine and Alexius Dale; great-nephews, Colten and Bryar Dale; and her cats, Junior, Rambo, and Gizmo.
No services are planned for Barbara at this time.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
