Barbara “Bobbie” Ann Taylor Price had the most beautiful homecoming Thursday, October 2nd, 2025, after a period of declining health.
Barbara was born November 19, 1937 to the late Jennings Howard Taylor and Florence Scott. A proud member of Bethel Methodist Church of Dry Ponds, in her 87 wonderful years of life she enjoyed crocheting, Elvis, swimming, and spending time with her family most of all. Barbara spent 50 plus years loving, and caring for children from Burke and surrounding counties.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Eugene Price; and numerous aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Price and Timmy Price (Connie); grandchildren, Amanda Moses (Tyler), Nicholas Price (Michael), Cora Price (Austin), Annamarie Price (Keicy), Taylor Gouge, and Nathan Gouge; great-grandchildren, Brayden Price, Beau Moses, EmmyLou Ann Moses, and Jacklyn Pressley; brother, Jennings “Cobb” Taylor, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday, October 6, 2025 at Bethel Methodist Church of Dry Ponds. The funeral will follow at 1 p.m. in the church and burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family asks that any monetary donations be made out to Bethel Methodist Church of Dry Ponds.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

When Music Director at Bethel, Bobbie was always my supporter and encouager. A dear Christian lady, and a lady that you always want to have as a friend. How lucky to I am to have had her for a friend. I will remember her always!

Bobbie will be missed! She was one of a kind!! I was so blessed to have her care for my girls when they were little. I will never forget her and all that she taught me as a new mom. Prayers for her family. 🙏
