It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ashley Sluder Lawing, a beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished friend, and a faithful servant of Christ, who entered her eternal rest on February 11, 2025 at the age of 44. Ashley was a woman of unwavering faith, whose life reflected the love, grace, and mercy of God. A passionate member of Zion Baptist Church, she was actively involved in various ministries, always eager to serve her community and share her faith with others. Her heart was full of kindness, and she touched countless lives with her warm spirit and infectious joy. As a wife, Ashley was a pillar of love and support, standing by her husband through all of lifes joys and challenges. As a mother, she was a fierce protector, always leading her children to find joy and to be their very best. She was the mother whose door was always open, the symbol of selflessness, love, wisdom, and prayer. She was a constant source of guidance and encouragement to her family, leading them in faith and love. Her friendships were deep and genuine, and she was known for her compassionate heart, always ready to lend a listening ear or offer a helping hand. Her life was a beautiful example of Christs love, and she leaves behind a legacy of faith, kindness, and generosity that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Ashley is survived by husband, Travis Lawing; daughter, Taylor Wells (Trevor); son, Jonah Lawing; brother, William Andy Sluder; aunt, Phyllis Revis; cousin, Kelly Revis (Melanie); mother-in-law, Margaret Love (Steve); all of whom will continue to carry her love and legacy in their hearts. Though she is no longer with us in this life, Ashleys faith and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Ashley made a profound impact on everyone she met, through her church or in her daily life. She faithfully fulfilled Gods purpose, and she will be deeply missed by many. We take comfort in knowing she is now with her Savior, where there is no pain or sorrow, only peace and joy in the presence of God. A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Rose officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Travis and Jonah Lawing. Ashley was active in planning her celebration of life, she wanted this to be a happy time and requested family and friends attend in non-traditional attire consisting of the color of orange, Tennessee Vols, and/or colorful tennis shoes. Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements. Visitation N/A Service March 1, 2025 3 p.m. Zion Baptist Church Committal N/A
