Arthur Lee Kaylor, 65, of Hickory, NC, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, January 24, 2024.

Born in Catawba County, NC on May 9, 1958, he was the son of the late Horace James Kaylor and Estella Elizabeth Lewis Watts.

Arthur was a veteran of the US Navy and was a hard-working, honest man. In his earlier years he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles. His favorite activity was spending time with his beloved grandchildren.

Arthur is survived by his children, Jason Thomas Kaylor, Aaron Adam Kaylor, Jessica Suzanne Kaylor Judy (Nicholas), and Christopher Lee Kaylor; grandchildren, Julias, Alex, Makayla, Austin, Axle, Goldie, Jillian, Leland, Ayla, and Wren; brother, Charles Kaylor (Mitzi); sister, Mary Ann Kaylor; and a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In addition to his parents, Arthur was preceded in death by two brothers, Lester Alan Kaylor and Ervin James “Bo” Kaylor.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home. Burial will follow at 2;30 p.m.in Lewis & Sturgill Family Cemetery, 3410 Roundabout Road, Creston, NC 28615.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
