Anna Victoria Robinson, 80, of Morganton, NC passed away, Friday, August 1, 2025. Born on July 28, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Dewitt Robinson, Sr. and Annie Lucille Robinson.
Anna graduated from Morganton High School, WPCC, and obtained a master’s degree from Pembroke. She enjoyed traveling and was an avid reader. Anna was also a member of a book club.
Anna is survived by her brothers, Michael T Robinson (Julia) and Raymond D. Robinson, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her brother, Phillip “Phil” Robinson.
A graveside will be held at 12 p.m., Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at Burke Memorial Park.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Raymond and family members, I extend condolences to you in the loss of Anna. Though I have not seen her in a while, I often thought about her.
Ann was an outstanding colleague and a favorite friend. We met 20 years ago when she worked for Foothills Area Program. Ann was so kind and had the best sense of humor - while remaining no nonsense at all times! To her family, friends, and all who mourn her passing - I extend my heartfelt sympathy.
Anna (“ANN”) was a loyal friend & she was awesome in her professional & personal endeavors. She never sought to sow shallow relationships, but was commitment to being simply “AWESOME” as a FRIEND, COLLEAGUE or PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATE. She gave her absolute BEST in all her endeavors and will be sorely missed by her family, friends, and loved ones, as well as personal and professional associates. “Rest In Peace FRIEND”!!! My heart is heavy for Ann and I were not just coworkers but we were friends. Our friendship began when we were working at Foothill Mental Health and throughout my employment at Vaya Health. We had many good times together. She is gone, but will never be forgotten. My condolences to the family and may the Lord give you comfort in your time of sorrow.

I've had the absolute pleasure of working with Ann for the past 10 years. She was always willing to help others on her team when needed and was dedicated to those we serve. On a personal level, when my mother passed Ann provided me care and comfort for which I will always be grateful. You are missed Ann as you made the world a better place! Ann and I were colleagues at DSS in Wilmington in the 1980s. She was a tireless advocate for abused children and their families. No one worked harder than she in protecting vulnerable children. She was a role model for all of us. In the 2000s, when I was DSS Director in Cleveland County, Ann was the state child welfare consultant assigned to our county. Her vast experience in helping troubled families made our program much stronger. I am forever grateful to her. Ann was respected by all who knew her. A loyal friend. She will be missed. Ann was a founding member of the Wise Women book club. She remained a loyal and steady member through many years. Her contributions of insight, humor and tasty treats were a gift to the many women that have come and gone from the book club. She always had a welcoming spirit and known point of view.
